Welcome to my blog! Here, we celebrate the power of expression and the importance of sharing our thoughts in a world that encourages open dialogue and connection.

I don’t really know how to start with this, but I’ve come to realize that doing or saying nothing about what’s going on around us doesn’t help make the world a better place. I believe that everyone has a voice and the capability to enlighten and inspire others with our words and actions. Sharing our feelings, insights, and thoughts matters; we shouldn’t keep them to ourselves.

I used to be the person who kept my thoughts to myself out of fear of offending someone or hurting their feelings. I often held back from expressing something that might upset or annoy others, even when their opinions contradicted my principles. But when I see or hear people confidently expressing their views, even when they seem nonsensical or untrue, I start to wonder: should we just shake our heads and walk away, or should we say or do something about it?

Humans are portrayed as the most special creations in this world. Yet, we are individuals with different standpoints, perspectives, and outlooks on life. What makes our differences significant is the #basis of our opinions and conclusions. Considered the most intelligent beings on this planet, we can think complexly, analyze, and reflect even on abstract matters. We are #moral creatures capable of making moral judgments. If some people can express their stances or sentiments with full confidence, regardless of whether they make sense to the rest of us, why can’t we? Don’t our voices matter?

To earn respect, we must also learn to #respect others. However, respecting the rights, beliefs, and opinions of others doesn’t mean accepting or enduring what we believe to be wrong. We have to #combat the menace of fake news and expose those who generate misleading information for profit. The best way to determine the truth is to conduct further research on what we read or watch online instead of accepting it at face value. #Misinformation and #disinformation are deliberately spread to mislead and influence people into seeing falsehoods as facts. In the digital age, anyone can be swayed to adopt distorted views of the world, raising real concerns about the impact on youth and children. Eventually, this can make it increasingly difficult to distinguish between fact and fiction, truth and falsehood, what is real and what is not, and what is right and wrong.

Weighing the consequences

If we don’t feel entitled to express our thoughts and feelings, or if we simply shake our heads without acting, fabricated news and information will escalate quickly, leading many to develop incorrect ideas or impressions about people or issues. It’s pervasive today that some individuals express whatever they feel strongly about in the name of freedom of expression but refuse to accept differing opinions.

To persuade someone, we must provide proof or evidence to support the truth of our statements. We should ensure our arguments are valid by establishing sound reasoning and conclusive support for our conclusions. Don’t we express our beliefs and viewpoints to persuade others that an action or idea is right or wrong? If we’re unwilling to engage in exchanges of diverging or opposing views, why say anything at all?

About my blog...

This weblog is dedicated to sharing my sentiments, #opinions, and #insights, supported by facts and moral #principles concerning current events. I don’t expect everyone to agree with everything I say, but I do hope everyone understands that I have my own points of view and principles also.

Thank you!

If you’ve made it this far, I truly appreciate your time.
